Preliminary Versions of Papers and Posters (more to follow)

Preliminary versions of some of the conference papers and posters have been uploaded for Pre-Conference Reading. The remaining refereed papers and edited poster papers will be uploaded shortly. While these are being checked by the authors and Program Committee members, and the format checked in preparation for printing and pressing to CD-ROM, we invite you to read them in advance and get ready to use your time at the conference to question, discuss and debate the issues that they raise.

Since the first AusWeb conference in 1995, we have structured the conference format so as to provide more time for discussion, questions and networking rather than have delegates talked at via series of standard presentation sessions. This year papers will again be clustered into subject/interest sessions and presented in two parallel tracks. For each paper session there will be a chair/moderator. Authors will have the opportunity to make a short presentation (5-8 minutes) of the key points and issues that their paper raises. They are also encouraged to link any screens that might be used for this presentation via the "presentation link" at the end of the paper. A majority of presenters used this feature at last years conference and we hope that almost all will use it this year.

Some pre-reading of the papers that interest you most is an investment in selecting the most appropriate sessions and also sets you up to contribute to the conference with appropriate questions and observations. All sessions have sufficient time for all interested delegates to make a comment or ask a question. No more will you hear the line "An interesting paper however as we are just about out of time we can only take one or two questions". At AusWeb we value your comments and questions and we provide the time for them to be heard.
