Workshop Title: Integrating a Total Knowledge Management System into an E-learning Strategy
Presenter: David Ross, Chief Executive Officer, INDELTA rossd@indelta.com.au

Outline: The aim of the workshop is to demonstrate to participants, the benefits of an integrated learning methodology. I will explain how to use a blending approach to the set up of a total knowledge management tool, involving the consideration of consulting, content, learning infrastructure and learning outcomes.

The workshop will present a methodology which focuses on the importance of determining learning needs and developing education competencies to ensure that specific educational requirements are met.
A five step approach will be presented:

  • Step 1 A high level educational analysis.
  • Step 2 Involves a blueprinting process to determine the educational requirements. The learning environment can then be designed.
  • Step 3 Involved the design and building of each component in the Knowledge. Management System (based on the blueprint developed in Step 2).
  • Step 4 Involves the integration and testing of all educational components
    through a learning infrastructure.
  • Step 5 Involves establishing the support and maintenance systems and setting standards so that the success of the system can be evaluated.

The workshop will also provide a demonstration of a total Knowledge Management System.
