Outline: In any distance education setting our goal as
educators is to create an environment which will provide our
students with a vehicle that will motivate and inspire them
to become knowledge builders. Over the last two year in Saskatoon,
Saskatchewan we have been developing a model that does just
that. We have been exploring programs and tools that enable
our students to inquire, encourage, discourse, collaborate and
promote active learning. By analyzing the student's needs, particular
educational objectives and good teaching practices our team
has developed a unique approach to course development and delivery.
