RMIT University has adopted online course development and delivery policy
since 1997. This paper will discuss the staff experience engaged, from
the early day of the policy implementation, in the development of flexible
environment within a Science and Technology based program. It will also
analyse the learning outcomes of the students engaged in online courses.
Course statistics collected through the online course environment will
be reported and the results of course evaluation as well as the technical
and educational issues encountered during preparation and implementation
will be discussed.
