Abstract

The Extensible User Interface Protocol (XUP) is a SOAP based protocol for communicating events and incremental user interface updates on the web. It lays a foundation for developing and consuming highly interactive web applications and services. XUP is designed to serve as the UI front end for applications based on the Web Services architecture. XUP may be used with any user interface model or any event model with an XML based representation.
