Abstract
The development of the Carrick Exchange is a major initiative of the Carrick Institute for Learning and Teaching
in Higher Education. This paper reports on the initial stages of development. In particular, imaginary scenarios
were used to envision the nature and the scope of the project. This work led to the identification of numerous
human and technical issues which need to be addressed for the Carrick Exchange to be sustainable.
