Conference Chair Allan Ellis explained that while where were many good entries this year (about 2/3 of paper authors had prepared linked presentations) none had reach the conference standard for the actual Award. Stephen Atherton from Apple therefore drew a card from a pack containing the names of all those authors who had prepared linked presentations - and the winners of the Apple iMac were:
