Keynote Title: Live Data & Live Media: Build them into your Web Applications

The Internet today thrives on immediacy. For web applications to mirror this immediacy they must integrate live data and to be truely up to date they need live media. Two tools are presented that make this possible:

  1. WebObjects is the world's leading application server. The presentation will demonstrate the use of WebObjects powerful Intergrated Development Environment and graphical Interface Builder to build a web application based on business objects modeled from an RDBMS.
  2. QuickTime Streaming Server is a fully standards based and open source streaming media server. The presentation will demonstrate how easy it is to create streaming media content and integrate it into existing web sites and into true Web Applications.

The presentation will also highlight some innovative web sites and applications built using WebObjects and QuickTime Streaming Server.

Presenters Bio: John Zornig is Systems Engineer for Apple Computer Australia responsible for Queensland and the Northern Territory. John has been in the industry for twenty years working with Unix, networks, databases, the Internet and multimedia at the University of Queensland, Sun, Pyramid Technology, Fujitsu and Apple.
