Children at AusWeb96
We've had a number of queries about bringing children to AusWeb96. Conrad
Jupiters has excellent facilities for kids and they're really going to love
it there. But we're also making arrangements with Aussie Kids for child
care for younger children and organised tours for older children.
Aussie Kids Child Care Centres operate in the Brisbane and Gold Coast
areas. Aussie kids will pick up children aged between six weeks and five
years old, and take them to the closest Aussie Kids licensed centre. There,
the children will enjoy educational activities, swimming pools and computers.
This service is available between 7.00am and 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, and
costs $28 per child per day, or $32 per baby or toddler per day. Government
fee release is available to registered parents - please provide a copy of
the DSS assessment form.
Tiny Tours is associated with Aussie Kids and caters specifically
for the Conference market. They provide tours for the age group 6 years
old to 13 years old that incorporate many of the theme parks and tourist
attractions available on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane.
For AusWeb96, the program outlined below will be available for delegates
who are parents. To book your child(ren) into one or more of the days, please
contact the AusWeb96 team at ausweb96@scu.edu.au
for a registration form. Your contact details will be passed on to our Aussie
Kids/Tiny Tours representative for arrangement of final details. AusWeb96
organisers will collect fees for these services as part of the service provided
to conference attendees, but we do not suggest that we hold any responsibility
for the quality of the organisation providing these services. Tours will
run subject to minimum numbers being met. Bookings must be made by 21st
June and we will attempt to notify parents of the status of all trips
by 26th June.

Parents please provide: Suitable footwear, sweatshirt or jacket.
Monday 8th July: Seaworld
Cost: $70.00
Pick up: Conrad Jupiters Foyer at 9 am Return: Conrad Jupiters Foyer at
5pm
Tour includes: Return transport, sunscreen, entrance into excursion, morning
tea, lunch, afternoon tea, drinks and 8 hours child care.
Parents to provide: Suitable footwear (no thongs), sweatshirt or jacket,
swim wear, towel.
Tuesday 9th July: Movie World
Cost: $70.00
