WWW as an Educational Support Medium: An Australian Case Study

Gregg Boalch boalch@ba1.curtin.edu.au

Greg says about himself and the paper:
"I'm looking at the use of WWW (and other support media) to facilitate the
running of a 1000 student unit. These students are primarily on campus,
but also include some 40 Australian and overseas students studying the
unit externally. I telecommute, so I am interested in ways of managing
the unit, staff and students without having to be physically in one
on-campus location. Instead of students having to come to the knowledge,
I am interested in using contemporary technologies such as the WWW to
take the knowledge to the students, thus empowering them. The paper also
includes a profile of the Curtin Business School student, preliminary
results of the feedback gained from the students as well as proposed
enhancements to be trialled over the next 12 months... "
