Cheryl Gilbert cl.gilbert@qut.edu.au
Cheryl work's in the Academic Staff Development Unit at QUT.
Although not
directly involved in teaching on the web she has a strong interest in how
the web can be used effectively in teaching. She facilitates a recently
established Teaching, Reflection and Collaboration (TRAC) group for
webworkers. Amongst other things, the aim of the group is to examine best
practice in the use of the web at teaching at QUT.
The paper:
What I aim to do is provide an overview (not a detailed analysis)
of how lecturers at QUT are using the web in their teaching. My intention
is
to use this as a platform for discussing teaching using the web. I will
also
talk about webworkers as a model for staff development focusing on issues
of
academic staff development.
