Teaching and learning on the web at Queensland University of Technology

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of how lecturers at QUT are using the web in their teaching. A framework for principles of learning on the web will be outlined and some examples of how QUT lecturers have integrated the web into their teaching will be provided. I will then discuss the establishment of a Teaching Learning and Collaboration group for webworkers, describe how the group was established, and what we aim to do. Webworkers will be put forward as a good model for encouraging staff development, with the potential to address specific issues of academic staff development relating to teaching on the web.
