Background on AusWeb96

Before describing the plans for AusWeb96 we really can't go past mentioning the success of AusWeb95 in Ballina. This conference was announced just before Christmas 1994 and was sold out by January 25th 1995 with the first internet query on registration coming from Finland. Although only accommodating 140 delegates in 1995 we could have easily sold up to 300 registrations if space had been available. Hence the move in 1996 to a bigger venue with a larger capacity to include not only more delegates but more exhibition and display space.

Conrad Jupiters

Conrad Jupiters has been chosen for AusWeb96 for a number of key reasons:

Not only is there the opportunity for companies to display in the normal manner using display booths in the exhibition hall at Conrad Jupiters, there will also be the complementary "virtual" display on the World Wide Web. This will mean that for those companies choosing to exhibit at the conference , your virtual exhibition can be mounted on the world wide web up to 9 months before the actual conference in July 1996.

To maximise you companies visibility at the conference venue, all scheduled morning and afternoon teas and lunches will take place in and around the exhibition area.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 12 noon to 6pm on Saturday 6th July and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday 7th July. A advertising campaign will take place prior to the exhibition in order to attract maximum participation from the public.

An expected target of 5,000 public visitors are expected to visit the exhibition over the two day period in addition to visiting delegates.
