Using WWW for Desktop Management (Paper)
Automatic Creation of Hyperlinks in WWW Documents (Poster)

Zafar U. Singhera F60C015@SAKSU00.BITNET

Zafar says about his paper:
"The development of a WWW document is considerably simpler that software
development in general. However the existing WWW model is unreliable and inefficient in creation and maintenance/update of hyperlinks. We are investigating new methods for automatic creation and maintenance of hyperlinks in WWW
documents.

The ever increasing popularity of WWW and the future trends suggest that WWW is going to be one of the most frequently used application on a desktop.

It is worthwhile considering the WWW technology for desktop management to provide consistency, ease of use, and need for less training to the user. We are currently investigating the issues involved in using WWW for desktop management.

I hope both the paper and the poster will be of interest to the general audience. However, the poster is more inclined towards WWW developers and Webmasters while the paper is for people interested in WWW as well as desktop management
and user interface issues."
