Large universities face difficulties with managing student enrolment administration due to increasing student numbers, distributed over multiple locations, and reduced staff levels. This paper describes the requirements, development and implementation of a Web-based database application used for student administration. The background to the development of the application is outlined. This is followed by a description of the first two phases of the project. Issues arising from the implementation are discussed and future development plans are outlined.
