Abstract
At AusWeb96 we reported on a development project to provide a sophisticated Java
video analysis tool to students studying undergraduate physics. Students will use the tool as part of a Web site on analysing videos of real-world events in order to help understand the physics behind them. The analysis tool, MotionWorkshop, also provides sophisticated modelling capabilities enabling students to construct spreadsheet-style models to test against the videoed events.
This paper reports on the progress of the project as well as some
of the difficulties encountered along the way. The project is
ongoing and preliminary trialling with students will take
place during this year.
