Abstract

This paper describes trends in electronic commerce to support knowledge sharing across enterprises, such as for example, supporting cross functional teams usually working across distance on the development of new products and services. It sees knowledge sharing processes as primarily emergent, and that such processes require support tools that allow users to easily set up new collaborative arrangements while maintaining awareness across the enterprise. The paper describes the requirements to be met by toolkits and then describes a toolkit known as LiveNet for that supports these requirements.
