AusWeb99, the Fifth Australian World Wide Web conference is from Saturday 17 April to Tuesday 20 April 1999. AusWeb returns to the very successful site of AusWeb95 in Ballina in Northern Rivers Tropical NSW.
AusWeb99 is the fifth in a series of conferences organised by Southern Cross University. SCU's Norsearch Conference Services is the organiser of the conference. The conference has been limited to 140 participants and will provide many opportunities for networking and formal and informal interaction. AusWeb99 will feature workshops and tutorials, keynote speakers and fully refereed research papers from the full range of the Web domain.
The conference will be held at the Ballina Beach Resort at Lighthouse Beach in Ballina. The beach is just a minute's walk from the resort .. and a couple of minutes further away is the Shelley's Beach Cafe, one of the most attractive locations in Australia for an al fresco lunch.
Ballina is close to the attractions of the Northern Rivers Tropical New South Wales, including Byron Bay, the World Heritage listed Border Ranges and Nightcap National Parks. And the Gold Coast in Queensland is only 90 minutes drive away.
